The client’s objectives and expectations
Replace the Vazzio power plant with a new 130 MW liquid biomass power plant, fully renewable, in compliance with Corsica’s PPE (Multiannual Energy Plan). Supply electricity to more than 110,000 inhabitants in the Ajaccio area.
Our main responsibilities
Project management assistance (PMA) / Owner’s representative support (AMO).
- Secure spare parts and material requirements.
- Optimize the maintenance and operation of the power plant.
- Manage supplier relationships and address technical deviations.
- Incorporate feedback and lessons learned (LESSONS LEARNED / REX) and ensure the reliability of the installations.
HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) prevention
- Monitor compliance with HSE requirements on site.
- Propose improvements to ensure safety and compliance.
Site administrative support.
- Manage administrative compliance and quality documentation.
- Monitor attendance indicators and site logistics.
Civil engineering works supervisor.
- Coordinate and supervise civil engineering works.
- Ensure the safety and consistency of interfaces between work packages.
Project characteristics
- Liquid biomass power plant (8 engines of 16 MW each, total capacity of 130 MW).
- Reuse of existing infrastructure (pipeline, fuel storage yard).
- Electricity supply for more than 110,000 inhabitants, connected to the high-voltage transmission grid.
Results achieved
A high-performance and sustainable power plant, aligned with Corsica’s energy and environmental objectives.
